In 2023, Jackson and his husband formed Troppical Productions, and began producing screenplays written by Jackson and collaborators. In 2024, the production company premiered What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting, a short film that screened at over 30 film festivals. In 2026, Troppical Productions worked with collaborators to create Three Days and began it’s festival run in the same year. And soon, Jackson’s Money Mobile will begin pre-production.
What to Expect when You're Not Expecting
In this queer comedy short, Spencer (Jackson Tropp) and his husband Elliot (Todd A. Jackson) run into one road-block after another in their journey toward becoming Daddy's, while Spencer's best friend, London (Whitney leavitt), deals with her own parenthood problems. Spencer eventually learns that all good things take time, even for such an anal retentive couple.
Three Days
Three Days is a quiet psychological drama that explores grief, guilt, and acceptance through a series of emotinoally charged encounters between two strangers connected by tragedy. As unresolved pain slowly surfaces, the film examines the complexity of forgiveness and the human desire to make sense of loss.
